 Founded in 1997, Shanxi Zinc Industry Group is a high-tech export private enterprise operating more than twenty subsidiaries, 6,000 employees and total assets of RMB 4.3 billion. Smelting, electric power, mining industry and rare metal recycling are the main business activities.
Shanxi Xiangfen Nonferrous Metal Industry Co., Ltd., mainly engaging in zinc smelting, successfully cooperated with international investors in 2007 and became a Sino-foreign joint venture named as Shanxi Huiji Nonferrous Metal Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Huiji Company). Located in Xiangfen Economic & Technical Development Zone, Linfen, Huiji Company covers floor area of 2.5sq.km and mainly operates electrolytic zinc, electric zinc, zinc oxide, zinc alloy, copper, cadmium, indium, phosphate fertilizer, sulphuric acid and power products. The zinc smelting ability reaches 115,000 tons and ranks first in national zinc industry. Besides, the company was successively conferred many honorable awards, including “National Top 100 Credibility and Law Observation Enterprises”, “National Advanced Employment & Social Security Private Enterprise”, “Production Adjustment Star Enterprise”, “Model Big Taxpayer”, “High-tech Enterprise” and “Key Export Protection Enterprise”, and was selected as one of “Three Enterprise Matrixes” of the Eleventh-five-year-plan and first batch of “Circular Economy Pilot Enterprises” in Shanxi.
The company has not only advanced process and equipment and powerful technical strength, but also internationally advanced wet and pyrogenic zinc smelting techniques and production lines. What’s more, more than 260 senior engineers and technical workers are working here, which have consisted of the powerful backbones of corporate development and management. Our self-developed high temperature high acid leaching, boiling leaching and oxidized mine leaching have been put into the production of electrolytic zinc. Our dual-splash condensation furnace zinc smelting technique was awarded Spark Result of State Ministry of Science and Technology. As the key nonferrous metal product export base in Shanxi, the company is based on the development toward a foreign exchange-earning enterprise, which has passed the Certification of ISO9001 Quality Management System and been authorized import and export rights. “Jianguo” brand zinc ingot and phosphate fertilizer are Shanxi famous-brand products, which have been widely sold in Korea, Japan, Europe, Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Xiangfen Zhengda Power Co., Ltd. is a green power plant taking coal gangue washed from local coal washing plants as raw materials. The plant belongs to central heat supply set and its generated energy will be sold totally apart from those used by group’s smelting plant.
To ensure ample raw materials, the group has acquired over 20 nonferrous metal mines in Sichuan, Yunnan, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang and Shanxi in recent three years. These mines mainly include lead zinc mine, copper mine, molybdenum mine, nickel mine and coal mine, which have abundant reserves, huge potential values and wide development prospects.
In order to strengthen and extend the company and realize its sustainable development, the group insists on the scientific concept of development to develop circular economy. Shanxi Zinc Industry High-tech Industrial Park has formed a mining-dressing-smelting industrial chain and a coal-electric-zinc industrial chain, gradually realized self-supply of raw materials and energy, extended its industrial chains and increased the recycling of resources. Through rare-noble metals’ deep refining, the product values and maximum profits have been achieved. Hence, their sustainable development can be realized.
